Step 1: Scheduling your session
To secure a date, complete paperwork and pay a $550 session fee. For scheduling, email or call me, and once we decide, booking is 100% online.
Considerations:
- Weekend dates are limited, so early mornings or late afternoons during the week work well.
- Spring and fall are busy times; contact me early for those especially weekends.
- For specific dates or holiday needs, book well in advance for processing and printing time.
Session Details:
- Most sessions are 1.5 hours before sunset, capturing the beautiful light.
- Indoor sessions (e.g., newborns) are typically late morning to midday.
- Sessions rescheduled for bad weather, or use your home or indoor locations.
The Session:
- Expect a fun hour with family, including typical poses, hugs, playing, and dancing.
- Once booked, receive a prep guide with a free styling service, choosing colors and outfits.
- A few days before, confirm details; for uncertain weather, discuss rescheduling options.
Step 2: The fun part
Day of the Session:
- Block off a few hours, typically done within 60 minutes, but flexibility allows for wardrobe malfunctions or child meltdowns.
- After the session, within one to two weeks, receive an email with ready photos.
- Choose a collection within a month, selecting specific digital files and print items with zero pressure.
How you use your images is crucial when planning a photo session. Many overlook this aspect, but your investment deserves more than photos stored on a hard drive. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Here's a sample of available items:
