Hey, I’m Lia Jay - So Nice to Meet You!
I got a camera, thinking I could conquer the world, or at least capture it in pictures. Turns out, it takes more than a week to achieve that. But that was just the beginning.
I kept taking pictures—of friends, places, flowers. Some got annoyed, but most loved it, and I didn't care either way. I got better along the way.
My love for photography, coupled with my annoying ability to keep snapping, turned into my thing. Others noticed, and the smiles began.
Through marriage, divorce, another marriage, 5 kids, 3 grandkids, a move to NJ from NY, and a previous career as a cartographer, this photography hobby became a fantastic way to express my talent and do what I love.
When I'm not in my photo-taking zone, you might find me editing, multitasking (ADHDing), cracking corny jokes, playing with my spoiled fur baby Delilah, and cherishing the beautiful photos I took of you and your kids. And it turns out, you love them too.
From celebrations to everyday events, photographs help us keep these moments close to our hearts and forever in our minds memories. With so much going on all day every day, I love the option to sit down and be reminded of what is most important in my life. As a lifestyle photographer, I am looking and determined to catch the moments and feelings of the personalities that I see before me. So that you have those images for you to enjoy as well. Born and raised in New York City. I studied photography at F.I.T. and the like. Many of my photographs have been published in several newspapers and books.
